To DONE This Week - To Do This Weekend

To DONE This Week

It's been a slightly slower week this week. Not a whole lot done. I'm hunkerin' down for MR which is coming up in a couple of days. No wonder work has been super slow too. Uuuugh. Boredom.
  • Send out emails to Michael - I did Fireworks mockups for it. I'm sucha Lady Dorksalot. I have narrowed it down to two choices. One is more traditional, more modest. It scrolls in the setting under a tension hold, and then again in the inlay of the shank. It has 3 round accent stones in marquise bezel clusters on either side.

The other has a more modern take on the single bypass. It's more or less bezel set with crop circle like accent stones coming out on one side increasing in size as it fans out. Then scrolls either underneath the carriage or inlaid in the shank or both. I'm leaning a little towards B... I think that's more me. A little modern, with a few old school ornamentals. It's a cleaner design. But there's something to be said about the modesty of A. I can't decide. And here were are ... MR time... great. I probably won't have anything by the time we go to NC.

  • Preseason HH kickball - well, there's just a HH this week. Tonight actually. I don't think we're going to go. I emailed our friends earlier in the week to see if they were going to go, and they passed. They have work. I didn't want to say to them that it wouldn't be worth us going if they couldn't go - I didn't want to make them feel bad. So I just said we have to work too. Which is kinda true I guess. But I was in the office until like 7:45 last night (making my ring mocks, lol, so bad) and I walk out of the door from our office suite and run right into the big boss. YESSSS, Score 10pts! He thinks I'm here all late and dedicated. Rule! So, ya, I'm leaving early today. lol

  • Send out emails for NC trip and Happy Hour Kickball
  • Balanced Budget

  • Watch Brothers
Wow. I don't know why it got such bad criticism and reviews. I mean, 60% on Rotten Tomatoes?! No way. This had oscar contention written all over it. Man.. that Toby Mcguire was truly in his best form. He lost all kinds of weight for this role and he was so convincing - when usually he's not, u know? Ya, we found this movie totally fascinating. We followed the characters every move. Not a boring moment in there. The soundtrack was really dinky and stupid, and ruined perfectly good scenes, though. I actually and accidentally skipped the first chapter of the movie thinking it was just all the production shit...wooooops. We watched the entire movie and Babe complained how there was no backstory what so ever. And then we're watching the Bonus Features and there are scenes in the trailer and such that we never saw. lol, I thought it started strangely... So we went back and watched the first 5 minutes. Babe joke how the backstory ruined it for him, even though the narration suddenly at the end he had a big problem with too, and the backstory started the narration and filled in a lot of gaps we had issue with. If they could just figure out how to cut the beginning down majorly, and get rid of the soundtrack then maybe...
ANYWAY....it was a truly gripping and thought-provoking storyline. Story was really well-balanced and the kids were phenomenal little actors, omg. They were so cute, and I never say that about kid actors. They normally ruin it for me. Babe and I got into a healthy debate about who was really in the wrong in the conflict - which there were many and they intertwined brilliantly...and also we argued whether or not things like that actually happen over in Afghanistan.
A resounding YES on my part, I would definitely watch it again. Reminded me of Revolutionary Road and a Very Long Engagement. 5 stars!

  • Make Doctor's appointment - bleh, I hate dealing with this. Gotta do what ya gotta do.

To Do This Weekend

  • Call Petlink to erase the cat's information
  • Go to more venues - oh ya, I gotta call and make an appointment first
  • Exchange Sam's Club sports bras. I thought I'd get these that are that made out of bamboo cotton, really soft. But they're not supportive enough and thin. Flimsy. But they were 3 for like $20. I was going to go for the Bally's brand that were 2 for a little bit more originally, but decided I'd try these bamboo ones first. ya... going to exchange them for the Bally's now.
  • More bulb planting around the neighborhood - I have all these Daffodil and Calladium bulbs I didn't remember I had. There's no chance they'll grow on my balcony. Maybe I'll spruce up some of the crap on the common ares of the South face if I feel like it. My neighborhood doesn't deserve anything extra from me, however.
  • Book NC house...guess I should just do that. Don't think anyone's gonna go with us. Boo.
  • Respond to invites - can you believe I got ANOTHER baby shower effin invitation from ex-friend?
  • Get Babe ready for theater night this weekend.
